The shipped default is CRAFT_AND_LOOT. “Progression only” does not create a quest system. Without your own reward setup, ordinary survival players will have no new way to obtain gear in that mode.
Crafting
There are 28 shaped recipes: twelve relics and sixteen armor pieces. Each item’s page includes its exact grid and ingredient IDs. Every relic recipe uses four netherite ingots and two diamond blocks, plus three thematic ingredients. Armor recipes use the patterns shown on their set pages.
With Create absent, the four Master Mechanic recipes are disabled, leaving 24 available recipes in crafting-enabled modes. Power switches do not hide recipes; use acquisition settings or a datapack when changing availability.
Chest loot
rareLootChance = 0.0025 means 0.25% per eligible loot-table evaluation, approximately one successful roll per 400 evaluations on average. This is not a guarantee that the 400th chest contains gear.
Eligible loot-table paths start with chests/, in either vanilla or modded namespaces. chests/spawn_bonus_chest is excluded. The rule is based on the table name, not a list of specific structures. Mods using other naming conventions may not qualify.
On success, one uniformly selected available equipment item is added to the existing loot. The pool contains 28 items with Create, or 24 without it. At defaults, any particular available item has a chance of 0.0025 / pool size per eligible evaluation. Disabled powers do not remove their items from this pool.
Loot is rolled when the relevant table is evaluated. Changing settings does not re-roll inventories that already generated their contents. Nested or custom loot-table behavior may affect the number of evaluations.
Commands and pack rewards
Use /give @s relicsandregalia:<item_id> with cheats/operator permission. Replace @s with a player name in a server console. Exact commands appear on item pages.
The current mod does not include a finished 0.2.x quest integration. A separate progression mod or datapack can grant registered items, but its reward IDs must match this version. Master Mechanic registry IDs remain present without Create, although the set’s integrated powers are unavailable.
